Electricity prices for households, public institutions and small consumers are expected to rise at most 10% in 2009, the Hungarian energy office’s (MEH) chairman Ferenc J Horváth said.
A decision on raising gas prices from January 1 has not been taken, Horváth said.
Electricity prices on the deregulated market are expected to rise 20%-25%, including the effect of transmission system fees, in 2009.
Hungary's gas market will be fully deregulated from July 1, 2009. (MTI – Econews)
