The following stocks may rise or fall in central European markets. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last close. The NTX Index of 30 companies in central and eastern Europe gained 0.2 percent to 1368.87 in Vienna. Hungary's BUX Index climbed 1.9 percent, Poland's WIG20 gained 0.5 percent and Austria's ATX Index rose 0.3 percent. The Czech PX Index added less than 0.1 percent.
Magyar Telekom Nyrt. (MTEL HB): Daniel Pataki, head of Hungary's telephone regulator, plans to hold a press conference on fees for high-speed internet services. Shares of the country's largest phone company rose 3.4 percent to 785 forint.
Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (PGN PW): The supervisory board of Poland's gas monopoly is scheduled to hold a meeting with agenda items that may include the appointment of successor to Boguslaw Marzec, chief executive officer of the company also known as PGNiG, who resigned. PGNiG shares slipped 1.5 percent to 3.32 zloty.
Unipetrol AS (UNIP CP): The largest Czech oil company and unit of PKN Orlen SA (PKN PW) is scheduled to hold its annual shareholders meeting. Unipetrol's shares gained 1.4 percent to 190.85 koruna. (Bloomberg)
