Azerbaijan continues to support the construction of the Nabucco gas pipeline, the country's president Ilham Aliyev said at a Nabucco summit in Budapest.
An accord can be reached on the interests of all of those involved - supplier countries, consumers and transit countries - if supply and transit are reliable, and if the price is appropriate, Aliyev said. Transit countries must see advantages in allowing the pipeline to pass through their space, he added.
Azerbaijan - which could be both a supplier country and a transit country for the pipeline - is a reliable partner and stands ready to play an active role in diversifying energy supply in the future, Aliyev said. (MTI – Econews)
