Wastewater-treatment investment in NE Hungary

Four villages in northeastern Hungary will begin a HUF 4.3 billion (€16.13 million) investment to improve and expand their wastewater-treatment and -disposal facilities, the mayors of the communities announced on Tuesday evening.

European Union funding will cover 80% of the cost of the investment, while the Nyírségvíz Zrt and water-utility company credit will finance the rest of the project.

The investment, which will take place in the villages of Tiszalök, Tiszadob, Tiszaeszlár and Nyírtelek, is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2011, at the earliest. (MTI-ECONEWS)
