Victims of economic crime loose HUF 18 million on average

About 30% of Hungarian companies were the victims of economic crime in the past twelve months, resulting in financial losses of HUF 18 million per company on average, a study published by consultancy PricewaterhouseCoopers published on Thursday shows.

The most reported economic crime among the survey's participants was bribery, followed by theft and accounting fraud.

PwC sent the questionnaire for the survey to 1,000 of Hungary's biggest companies. It was returned by 53. (MTI-ECONEWS)
