Two-thirds of German-owned companies say economy still in bad position

Almost two-thirds of companies surveyed by the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Trade (DUIHK) say the Hungarian economy is in a bad position, DUIHK chairman Tamás Vahl said at a press conference on Wednesday.

About 17% of the 174 German-owned companies surveyed said things were likely to improve this year, but 28% expected the situation to worsen. The chamber's measure of investor sentiment improved to -2.5 points in 2010 from -29.5 in 2008. The index measured +7.9 points in 2008. (MTI-Econews)
