Szijjártó holds talks with Albanian minister

State secretary for foreign affairs and external economic relations Péter Szijjártó held talks with Albania's minister for economy, trade, and energy affairs Florjon Mima on the possibilities of cooperation in the energy and water industry and of boosting Hungarian cattle and milk exports to Albania. After the meeting in Budapest on Wednesday, Szijjártó noted that the state-owned electricity company MVM has bid with the best price in a tender for the development of nine transformer stations of the Macedonia-Bulgaria power transmission system, and the government would like to see MVM to be similarly successful in Albania. He said he agreed with Florjon Mima to start talks on expanding the Albanian partnership of Hungarian oil and gas company MOL in connection with the forthcoming privatization of the Albanian oil company. The partners also agreed that consultations will be started between the two national railway companies on Hungary's possible involvement of the modernization of Albania's railway network.
