Storms, flooding cause MÁV damages of HUF 2.7 billion

Storms and flooding have caused damages of more than HUF 2.7 billion to the network of state-owned railway company MÁV, spokesman Tibor Sigulinszki said on Monday.

MÁV reported storm-related damages of HUF 1.2 billion to the Government Coordination Commission on May 25. The damages do not include lost ticket revenue due to the weather. MÁV specialist Mrs Sándor Tar said MÁV hopes to get state support to clean up and repair damages caused by the storms and flooding. (MTI-Econews)
