Southwest Hungary prepares HUF 5bn sewage system development

A local association Nagyatadi Regionalis Szennyviztarsulas has completed the preparation for developing a HUF 5 billion, 108-kilometre stretch of sewage system for nine communities near Nagyatad (SW Hungary), Mayor Istvan Ormai of the latter city told MTI on Saturday

The association is now seeking state and EU grants for the project. Households can join the sewage system for HUF 260,000, with the state covering 30% of the cost. The project is expected to start in Q1 2012 and to be completed in 2014.
