Self employed shrinking in Poland

There were 78,000 less self employed people in Poland at the end of 2012 compared to 12 months before. Around 2,240.000 registered as self employed in 2012, down 3.4% on 2011, finds the latest edition of the Labor Force Survey (BAEL). The Rzeczpospolita daily wrote that the cause of the shrinkage of Poland’s self employed is due to the economic slowdown – although in previous downturns the number of self employed grew.
