Hotels and catering establishments could save HUF 1 billion a year if Parliament approves a proposal to scrap a levy on television sets, business daily Világgazdaság reported.
The proposal would eliminate the fee of about HUF 1,800 per television set from the beginning of August.
Even if the legislation is passed, hotels and catering establishments will still have to pay a fee to Artisjus, which collects royalties for artists, for each television and radio they own. (MTI – Econews)
