Region's farm ministers meet in Budapest to discuss future of CAP

Farm ministers from the Visegrád - Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland - as well as from Bulgaria and Romania met in Budapest to discuss the future of the EU's common agriculture policy (CAP) after 2013.

The ministers also discussed possible solutions for problems in the dairy industry as well as how to prevent big supermarket chains from abusing their market position. The ministers approved a joint declaration in which they said the solutions to the problems are not matters of individual member states but should be handled on a European level, said Hungarian Agriculture Minister József Gráf.
