Regional Development Board allocates funds in western Hungary

The Western Transdanubian Regional Development Board has awarded funds through tenders as part of the Western Transdanubian Operative Program, board co-chairman György Ipkovich said in Szombathely on Monday.

The regional railway company GYSEV has won HUF 532 million (€2 million) in funding for the development of the railway line between Szombathely and Szentgotthárd.

Another winner, the regional bus company Vasi Volán, has won HUF 526 million for community transport developments.

The towns of Kapuvár, Körmend, Répcelak, Sárvár and Vasvár received a combined HUF 233 million in funding for developments. (MTI-Econews)
