Real wages in Hungary rose 3.6% yr/yr in January-November 2006, based on an 7.4% increase in net monthly wages from the same period of 2005 and an average CPI of 3.7%, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) announced on Friday.
In November alone, real wages rose 2.5% year-on-year, Econews calculated, based on a 3.8% year-on-year rise in net wages and twelve-month CPI of 6.4% in October. Gross monthly wages rose 6.6% in twelve months to Ft 187,407 (€743) in November, and net wages rose 3.8% to Ft 116,009 during the same period. In the first eleven months of 2006, gross monthly wages rose 7.7% to Ft 168,509 and net monthly wages rose 7.4% year-on-year to Ft 109,754. (Mti-Eco)
