Ordinary Hungarians' financial knowledge has to increase if consumer interests are to be protected, deputy director of financial market regulator PSZÁF Péter Schiffer said on Friday.
PSZÁF will offer retail borrowers a comparison of leasing products on its website from the spring and of loans from the summer, Schiffer said.
Retail loan stock in Hungary reaches HUF 7,000 billion and includes HUF 2,500 billion of consumer loans, he said, answering a question by MTI.
PSZÁF offered HUF 70 million-100 million in grants last year to programs that aim to increase Hungarians' financial understanding. (MTI-ECONEWS)
