PM to consult with economists advisory body

The prime minister will call a meeting of an advisory body of economists before the start of Parliament's spring session on February 11, daily Népszabadság said on Thursday, citing the PM's press chief.

The economic advisory body last met with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and National Economy Minister György Matolcsy in November 2011, just a few months after holding their first meeting.
Members of the body with whom Nepszabadsag spoke told the paper they had not received any information on the government requesting further advice from them. One noted that sharp criticism of certain elements of the government's economic policy had been aired at the previous meeting of the body.
