Parliamentary committee finds bill to amend property law suitable for debate

Parliament's Economic and IT Committee on Wednesday voted to open a bill to amend Hungary's property law for debate.

National economy minister-designate György Matolcsy and Fidesz official János Fónagy on Tuesday submitted a bill stipulating a transformation of Hungarian national asset manager MNV's duties to include services to budgetary organizations and those utilizing state-owned property as well as transferring control over some state-owned companies from MNV to the state-owned Hungarian Development Bank (MFB).

One MSzP and three Jobbik members of the committee voted against introducing the bill for parliamentary debate. (MTI-Econews)
