Orbán says contracts of foreign public-service companies must be reviewed

Fidesz President Viktor Orbán said during a meeting with ambassadors of European Union countries on Thursday that the contracts of foreign public-service companies active in Hungary must be reviewed on a case-by-case basis prior to reaching an agreement with them regarding their further operations in the country.

Orbán is almost certain to become Hungary's next prime minister following April national elections which opinion polls suggest the current main opposition party Fidesz will win by a wide margin.

Orbán told the ambassadors a Fidesz government would also cut taxes, reduce corruption and bureaucracy and reform Hungary's public-finance and local-government system. (MTI-Econews)
