The number of new jobs in Hungary increased by 15.2% in August, boosting the total to 24,300, the social affairs and employment office FSzH said.
The most spectacular surge was in Komárom-Esztergom country where local processing industry businesses are seeking temporary workers in huge numbers.
FSzH also reported some changes for the better in the construction industry. The office found that on the final day of August there were 564,000 unemployed Hungarians on its records, a month-on-month increase of 1.1% or 6,100 persons.
The headcount of jobseekers has constantly increased since July, largely due to the entry of fresh college graduates to the labor market, FSzH said. (Napi Gazdaság)
