The number of registered job-seekers in Hungary reached 543,000 in September, down 0.6% from August and 4.1% from twelve months earlier, fresh data published by the State Employment Service (ÁFSz) show.
Almost 30% of the registered job-seekers had looked for employment for more than a year in September, slightly more than in the previous month.
Employers announced 28,400 new jobs in September, up 4.5% from August and 4.2% more than in the same month a year earlier. About half of the jobs were subsidized in some form by the state. (MTI-Econews)
