The number of registered job-seekers in Hungary reached 556,200 at the end of November, up 2% or 10,700 from the previous month, but down 4.2% or 24,200 from twelve months earlier, fresh data published by the State Employment Service (ÁFSz) show.
Almost 30% of the registered job-seekers or 166,000 had looked for employment for more than a year in November, slightly more than in the previous month. Their number was up 13.8% in twelve months
Employers announced 21,200 new jobs in November, down 18.4% or 4,800 from one month earlier, but up 18.3% or 3,300 from one year earlier.
Around 41.7% of the new jobs were subsidized in some form by the state. (MTI – Econews)
