Hungary's national environmental protection authority has annulled a decision by one of its regional offices refusing an application by Elso Nogradi Eromu (ENE) for a permit to build a HUF 40bn coal-fueled power plant in NE Hungary, ENE told MTI on Wednesday.
The resolution by the national environmental protection authority allows ENE to start the application process anew. But the authority also instructs ENE to make an increased effort when reviewing the environmental impact of the plant.
ENE wants to build the 50MW plant, to be fueled 80pc with coal and 20pc with biomass, by 2013. (MTI-ECONEWS)
