Hungary's national development agency NFÜ will on June 30, 2010 suspend for an indefinite period of time Environment and Energy Operative Program tenders for building-energy developments, including those using renewable energy sources, and modernization of public lighting, the National Development Agency announced.
The reason is that demand exceeded the available funds.
The National Development Ministry told MTI that the NFÜ, which announced the tenders in March 2009, increased the amount of funding available for the building-energy and public-lighting tenders to HUF 38 billion from the original HUF 6 billion in May.
But the NFÜ had received 497 bids for the tenders requesting funding of HUF 47 billion as of June 18. (MTI – Econews)
