Actions plans for operative programs in Hungary's economic development operative program -- a framework for allocating European Union funding -- in 2011-2013 have been published in the latest issue of official gazette Magyar Közlöny.
Most of the tenders for the funding will be called in 2011, allowing the support to be used by 2013, the decrees show.
The plans show an annual HUF 40 billion is to be made available for innovation and for research and development each in 2011-2013. Of the total, an annual HUF 15 billion will go to market-oriented R&D and HUF 11 billion will be for business innovation. Some HUF 51 billion a year will be available for complex business developments.
A little more than HUF 42 billion will be available for renewable energy resources, a priority of the environment and energy operative program, in 2011. No funding has been allocated for the following years. The amount includes HUF 8 billion for investments that combine renewable energy with energy-efficient building improvements. A little more than HUF 2 billion will be available for energy-efficiency improvements alone. Homeowners have signed contracts for HUF 42.5 billion in funding for similar tenders called earlier.
More than HUF 44.2 billion will be available under the transportation operative program in 2011. No funding will be available in 2012 and 2013. Some HUF 81.7 billion will be available to improve rail connections in 2011. A combined HUF 485 billion was available for the purposes in 2007-2010.
Improving transport connections between regions will be supported by HUF 95.4 billion in 2011 alone, with no further funding available in 2012-2013. Some HUF 393 billion was available for the aim in 2007-2010.
Urban and suburban public transport developments will get HUF 73.9 billion in support 2011 but nothing more in 2012-2013. About HUF 439 billion was available for the area in 2007-2010.
