About 78% of Hungarians who use the internet regularly said they had made online purchases, according to a survey by Mai Piac and KutatóCentrum, up from 62% in a survey a year earlier, the companies told MTI.
The biggest group of people who made purchases online were higher-than-average earning men between 25 and 34 years old.
The number of people making online purchases who live outside of the capital grew.
The most popular online purchases were of electronics, CDs, DVDs, books and clothing. Airline tickets and hotel services were also bought online, and online sale of theatre and cinema tickets grew. (MTI-ECONEWS)
