A resolution on the government's agenda that puts discussion of the 2011 budget at cabinet meeting on October 27 is “just a planned deadline”, Dorottya Vannai of the State Secretariat for Government Communications of the Public Administration and Justice Ministry told Econews on Wednesday.
The resolution with the October 27 date was published in official gazette Magyar Közlöny on Wednesday. However, the law states that the government must submit the main figures for the following year's budget by October 15 and the chapters, with tables and text, by November 15.
“The National Economy Ministry will in all likelihood submit the planned budget amendments to the government earlier (than October 27),” Vannai said when asked by Econews about the discrepancy. (MTI-Econews)
