Job creation development program awarded HUF 1.2 billion

A job creation development program in Kazincbarcika (NE Hungary) has been awarded a HUF 1.2 billion grant from the Swiss Fund.

The agreement on the grant was singed in Budapest on Friday by Swiss ambassador to Hungary Christian Muhlethaler and head of the National Development Agency's authority for international programs Balázs Simó.

The grant will support the establishment of a business incubator, a long-term job-creation fund, and a conference and exhibition center in the city's Radvánszky Palace, as well as the renovation of a village museum and the organization of cultural programs.

Decisions on about 80 million Swiss franc of the 130 million Swiss franc in funding available from the Swiss Fund have been taken so far, Simó said.
