Hungary's industrial producer prices rose 5.8% in the twelve months to December 2008, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported.
The increase slowed from 7.1% in November.
Twelve-month forint-term export prices rose 3.9%, after a 4.4% rise in November.
Domestic sales prices rose 8.3% yr/yr in December, down from a 10.8% increase in the previous month.
In a month-on-month comparison, industrial producer prices were down 0.9% in December, after a slight 0.1% rise in November.
Forint-term export prices decreased 0.3% from November and domestic sales prices fell 1.6% in a month.
2008 average industrial producer prices were up 5.3% from 2007 as export prices rose a mere 0.6% in forint terms but domestic sales prices rose a sharp 11.6%. (MTI – Econews)
