IMF says concerned about Latvian budget

The International Monetary Fund is still concerned about Latvia's budget situation and the impact of new budget plans on the country's poor, IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn said.

“The IMF is especially concerned about the fact that the necessary measures which have to be undertaken to fix the important budget deficit should not hurt the poor, primarily,” he told reporters on a visit to Kazakhstan. (Reuters)
