Hungary's November trade gap shrinks to €145 mln on exports

Hungary's trade deficit narrowed in November from the previous month as exports rose faster than imports, the statistics office said today.

The deficit was €144.7 million ($188.8 million), compared with €189.6 million in October and €246.3 million in the same month last year, the office said in a statement. Exports totaled €5.6 billion, 14% higher than in November 2005, while imports rose 11.4% to €5.8 billion. The 11-month shortfall was €2.08 billion versus €2.78 billion in the same period last year.
