Consumer prices in Hungary increased 3.8% in the twelve months through September, swifter than the 3.7% in August, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Tuesday.
Polled by MTI in London, City analysts predictions varied from 3.5% to 4.2% for September yr/yr CPI, averaging at 3.85%. Another analysts' consensus by Dow Jones was also for a 3.85% yr/yr inflation in September. In a month-on-month comparison, consumer prices eased 0.1% after a fall of 0.6% in August. Annual average inflation was 4.2% last year, down from 6.1% in 2008. (MTI-Econews)
