The government will submit Hungary's renewable energy action plan to Brussels at the end of November, National Development Ministry department head György Szerdahelyi said at a conference organised by consultancy Energy E-PR on Tuesday.
The European Commission recently sent Hungary, as well as other member states, letters warning them to submit action plans to achieve their renewable energy targets.
Hungary has promised the EU it would raise the proportion of renewables among energy consumed in the country to 13pc by 2020. Ministry data show the proportion in 2009 was 7.3%, up from 5.9% in 2008. (MTI-Econews)
