Hungary, Slovakia could share EU funding for cross-border projects

Hungary and Slovakia could win more than HUF 50 billion in EU development funding for joint cross-border projects during the 2007-2013 EU budget period, Hungary’s National Development Agency (NFU) told MTI on Thursday.

Funding may be used for sustainable economic development, tourism, human resources development, education, cultural cooperation, environmental protection and infrastructure development. The first tender invitation for development funding available under the Hungary-Slovakia Cross-Border Cooperation Program was published on October 15. It will close in mid-December. (MTI-Eco)
