Hungary seen as recovery poster child

Hungary has become an “oasis of stability” just one year after being rescued by the International Monetary Fund from bankruptcy, Romanian business paper Ziarul Financiar said in an article.

The writing points out that following the prospect of impending collapse, Hungary is now the “healthiest country” of the region, shored up also by the stern but necessary measures the interim government took.

The facts that Hungary will not need to call the final installments of the IMF loan, the forint has regained its earlier form and stabilized against the euro while industrial output is also tending upwards all show that the country has set an example in positive recovery, the article concludes.
