Hungary had a €615 million trade surplus in June, up 8.1% from the same month a year earlier, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Tuesday.
Exports climbed 3.1% to HUF 6.542 billion during the period. Imports increased 2.6% to HUF 5.927 billion.
Data show 77% of exports in June went to other European Union members. Other EU members accounted for 70% of Hungary's imports during the month.
The surplus for January-June came to €3.896 billion, up 35.1% from the same period a year earlier. Exports rose 17.3% to €39.712 billion. Imports were up 15.6% at €35.815 billion.
KSH will publish a second reading of the data on September 2.
