Hungary posted a €82.9 million trade deficit in October, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported in a second reading on Tuesday. The figure is slightly higher than the €76.5 million preliminary figure published on December 9.
October exports were worth €6.345 billion, and imports came to €6.428 billion. In euro terms, October exports decreased 4.3% and imports were down 1.5% from the same month a year earlier.
In volume terms, exports dropped 6.6% and imports were down 5.8% from a year earlier. September exports rose 4.3% and import increased 4.5% yr/yr in volume terms after falling 6.8% and 8.5%, respectively, in August. (MTI-Eco)
