Hungary: Number of retail borrowers on “blacklist” jumps 39%

  The number of retail borrowers on a “blacklist” of those who are or were behind on payments rose a marked 39% to more than 900,000 in the Q3 compared to a year earlier, BISZ, which compiles the list, said in a newsletter.


Retail borrowers behind on payments for active loans rose 58% to more than 600,000. Borrowers who fall more than HUF 69,000 -- the monthly minimum wage -- behind on loan payments for more than 90 days are included on the list. Borrowers remain on the list for a period of five years. (MTI-Eco)
