Hungary's industrial output growth picked up to 14.5% yr/yr according to both unadjusted and workday-adjusted figures in the twelve months to October, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a first reading.
November output rose a seasonally- and workday-adjusted 4.3% from October. The rise was the biggest one since May and followed a revised 0.9% monthly drop in October.
The twelve-month rise picked up from a 8.3% unadjusted and workday-adjusted rise in the twelve months to October.
January-November output was up 10.5% from a year earlier.
Industrial output declined 17.7% last year after no change in 2008. The last growth year was 2007 with an increase of 7.9%.
KSH will publish a second reading of November output figures as well as domestic and export sales figures on January 14. (MTI – Econews)
