The number of new passenger cars sold in Hungary rose 25.2% to 4,254 in June from May, but sales fell 27.9% year-on-year, Datahouse told MTI on Friday.
Total vehicle sales fell 25.5% to 5,029 in May from the same month a year earlier. Light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales were down 8.7%.
In January-June, new vehicle sales fell 45.1% to 25,330 from the same period a year earlier. Passenger car sales fell 45.9% and LCV sales slipped 40.3%.
In a year-on-year comparison, new vehicle sales fell 22.4% in May, 44.0% in April, 52.6% in March and 58.1% in February. (MTI-Econews)
