Hungary had a €609.3 million trade surplus in June, down from a first reading of €615million published on August 9, and also down from €631.2 million in the same month a year earlier, the central statistics office KSH said on Friday.
Exports increased 3.1% in twelve months to HUF 6.543 billion in June. Imports increased 3.8% to HUF 5.933 billion. The year-on-year increases of exports and imports were down sharply from 20.5% and 15.6%, respectively, in May.
In volume terms, exports rose 0.2% and imports were up 0.5% from June 2010, also sharply down from respective increases of 16.9% and 11.6% in May.
The surplus for January-June came to €3.854 billion, revised down from €3.896bn in the first reading, and up from €2.821bn a year earlier.
H1 exports rose 18.2% to €39.867 billion. Imports were up 16.5% at €36.013 billion.
