Investment volume in Hungary dropped 1.9% yr/yr in the third quarter after falling 4.9% in the second quarter and declining 6.4% in the first quarter, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Tuesday.
Investment in Q1-Q3 was down 4.2% on the first three quarters of 2009.
Investment into machinery, equipment and vehicles fell 0.3% yr/yr in Q3 after a decline of 1.3% in Q2 and a 2% drop in Q1. Construction-type investment fell by 3.8% yr/yr after falling 7.3% in Q2 and a drop of 9.3% in Q1.
Investment in the first half of 2010 were down 5.5% in volume terms from a year earlier.
Investments dropped from the previous quarter in Q1 2009, rose in Q2 and dropped again in the third and fourth quarters of last year.
Except for being flat in 2007, investments fell in volume terms each year since 2006. (MTI-ECONEWS)
