Hungary's industrial output rose 8.3% according to both unadjusted and workday-adjusted figures in the twelve months to October, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a first reading on Tuesday.
October output fell a seasonally- and workday-adjusted 1.0% from September after a 0.5% adjusted monthly increase in September. This was the first monthly drop since a similar 1% drop in July.
The twelve-month rise in output slowed from a 10.9% unadjusted and workday-adjusted rise in the twelve months to September.
January-October output was up 10.0% from a year earlier.
Industrial output declined 17.7% last year after no change in 2008. The last growth year was 2007 with an increase of 7.9%.
KSH will publish a second reading of October output figures as well as domestic and export sales figures on December 15. (MTI – Econews)
