Hungary's industrial output rose 9.7% according to both unadjusted and workday-adjusted figures in the twelve months to April, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Friday. Output rose a seasonally- and workday-adjusted 1.1% from March. The figures are unchanged from the first reading published on June 4.
April exports rose 19.3% from a year earlier, according to both unadjusted and workday-adjusted figures while domestic sales fell an unadjusted 1.5% and a workday-adjusted 1.4%.
Export sales rose a seasonally and workday-adjusted 3.0% from March and domestic sales rose 1.3%.
Adjusted output increased yr/yr now for the fourth month in a row after an uninterrupted twelve-month decline between October 2008 and December 2009.
In an adjusted month-on-month comparison, output rose in April after moderate falls both in February and in March and a sharp 8.4% month-on-month jump in January. The twelve-month increase of output picked up compared to March from a lower base. (MTI-Econews)
