Hungary's industrial output rose an unadjusted 15.2% and rose 12.6% according to workday-adjusted preliminary figures in the twelve months to June 2010, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said.
Output rose a seasonally- and workday-adjusted 0.9% from May.
In May, industrial output rose an unadjusted and workday-adjusted 13.8% yr/yr and rose a sharp 5.6% on the month.
January-June output was up 9.0% from a year earlier.
Overall, industrial output declined 17.7% last year, after it was flat in 2008. The last growth year was 2007 with an annual increase of 7.9%.
Adjusted output increased yr/yr each month this year after an uninterrupted yr/yr decline between October 2008 to December 2009. Unadjusted output started to rise one month earlier than adjusted output, already in December 2010.
Except for a 1.5% monthly drop in February, output has risen each month this year, revised seasonally and workday-adjusted month-on-month figures reveal. Output jumped 8.4% on the month in January and 5.6% in May, otherwise the monthly rises varied between 0.3% and 0.9%.
KSH will publish a second reading of the June figures, including data on export and domestic sales on August 13. (MTI – Econews)
