Hungary’s industrial output declined 28.9% in February from the same month a year earlier, preliminary data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Tuesday show.
Industrial output fell for the fifth month in a row in February, dropping the most since October 2008.
Industrial output fell a workday-adjusted 25.4% in February, exceeding the 21.0% decline in January and the 23.4% fall December. Workday-adjusted industrial output has fallen every month since June 2008. The fall in February was the steepest during the period.
Workday-adjusted domestic sales have fallen since June and exports since July. Unadjusted domestic and exports sales have fallen since October.
Industrial output fell 4.1% month-on-month in February, according to workday- and seasonally-adjusted figures. (MTI-Econews)
