Hungary: Gov’t preparers AID to SMEs

The government is starting a campaign out of tens of billions of forints to mitigate the difficulties striking SMEs due to the global economic crisis said Gordon Bajnai, National Development and Economy Minister, without going into detail.

Though Hungary’s position is stable, the consequences of the crisis may hinder the national growth rate, and limit exports. The package will increase the total amount of micro credits, accelerate the Jeremie program, and expand the portfolio guarantee program. Details will be disclosed at a GVOP conference today.
