Hungarian logistics companies carried 78m tonnes of goods in the third quarter, down 9.3% from the same period a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Wednesday.
The number of freight-ton kilometers inched down 1.9% to HUF 12.7m during the period, falling after climbing for three consecutive quarters.
Domestic deliveries fell 15.4% to 56.5 million tons. International deliveries were up 12.0% at 21.5 million tons.
Hungarian logistics companies delivered 208.7 million tons of freight in Q1-Q3, down 7.6% from the same period a year earlier. Freight-ton kilometers rose 3.2% to 37.9 million.
Domestic deliveries fell 14.9% to 143.0 million tons but international deliveries climbed 13.7% to 65.7 million tons. (MTI-Econews)
