Hungary's December trade deficit was €189.4 million, slightly below €190.2 million in November and virtually unchanged from December 2004, said the Central Statistics Office (KSH) on Thursday.But the figure was lower than the consensus of analysts, which, according to a Reuters poll, was for a gap of €255 million. The deficit for 2005 came to €2.78 billion, down from €3.91 billion in 2004. Exports rose 10.9 % in December year-on-year while imports were up 10.4%. Exports increased 11 % for the full year while imports were up 7.8%. The figures are preliminary. KSH will publish detailed revised foreign trade figures for December and the full year on March 3.
