Consumer prices rose 6.7% year-on-year in June and were up 0.1% from May, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) announced on Friday.
Consumer prices in the first six months combined rose an average 6.8% year-on-year. The twelve-month index is down from an average of 6.95% forecast by London analysts in an Econews poll. Twelve-month inflation was 7.0% in May and 6.6% in April.
Hungary’s twelve-month CPI stopped falling in September, when it reached 6.4%. It rose for three months in a row to peak at 7.4% in December before starting a gradual decrease in each of the first four months of the year. (MTI-Econews)
