Hungary and Azerbaijan singed a document establishing a joint economic committee.
A secure energy supply, the petrochemicals industry, agriculture, tourism and the construction industry are all areas in which economic ties between the two countries can develop, said state secretary at Hungary's National Development and Economy Ministry Zoltán Mester.
Azeri economy minister Shahin Mustafayev said there were big opportunities for development in the areas of information technology, alternative energy and research. Bilateral trade between Hungary and Azerbaijan reached $81 million in 2009. About 99% was Hungarian exports. (MTI – Econews)
